Career Trips
During a typical school year, ESA offers 1-2 career trips to employment hubs (typically Chicago, New York City, or Milwaukee) for a select group of members. These trips offer a unique opportunity for students to network, explore new careers, and build community within the Economics major!
Recent Trips
About our Trips
While every company visit is unique, they all share common lessons and experiences on how to apply an education in economics to a career in the real world. Students in past years have had opportunities to build relationships with alumni in finance, banking, law, retail, and public policy, among other industries. Most importantly, these trips are very affordable due to grants from the Economics department here at UW. Applications for upcoming trips, as well as a list of companies and other trip logistics will be released on Canvas and on our social media platforms.
